There's always a warm welcome at Middle Bouts Farm

Tommy and Laura

Trainer Tommy Gretton

After working as assistant trainer at racing yards across the country and also in France as a younger man, Tom returned to his family home to Inkberrow to launch his solo career at Middle Bouts Farm, which nestles in the rustic heart of the Worcestershire countryside. The stables and farm are wholly owned by Tom and his family.

Tom's CV includes spells working as assistant trainer to Henry Daly, John Quinn and Peter Beaumont, as well as Francois Doumen in France. Also a former point-to-point rider, Tom has dealt with top horses including top staying hurdler Mighty Man, multiple Cheltenham Festival winner Baracouda and Royal Ascot winner Pevensey.

Tom has been a full-time racehorse trainer since 2012, and during that time has recorded many successes. His 10% strike rate has been gained through hard work with horses which were often cast-offs from other yards, or indeed from breeders. He has gained a reputation for being able to place his horses to win exceptionally well.

Tom is aided and supported in his business by his wife Laura and their young daughter Poppy, as well as a dedicated group of work riders, stable staff and freelance jockeys.
